Programs

Start with what they already love

Your child doesn't need to know which program is right for them. Tell us what they enjoy, what they would like help with, and how they feel most comfortable taking part. We'll help turn those interests into a practical place to begin.

Our approach

How we find the right starting point

Interest is the starting point, not the destination. Nothing here is a diagnosis or a fixed pathway.

01
Explore interests

We start from what already holds their attention, not from a list of available courses.

02
Understand how they participate best

One-to-one or a small group, online or in person, and what a manageable amount looks like.

03
Connect interests with useful capabilities

The interest is the doorway. What gets practised alongside it is what travels.

04
Recommend a low-pressure first step

Something small enough to say yes to, with room to grow if it lands well.

Step 1 of 2

What lights them up?

Choose any that fit. Nothing here is a wrong answer, and you can skip it.

Low-pressure entry

Not ready to choose a full program?

Start with a relaxed interest-mapping session. They can meet a mentor, show us what they enjoy and try a small project, without needing a goal or committing to a group.

Free consultation Open

A conversation about interests, strengths, access needs and what taking part could look like. No commitment attached.

Interest-mapping session Open

One relaxed session with a mentor. They show us what they enjoy and we work out together where it could go.

Participants One session One-to-one
1:1 starter project Open

A short project built around one thing they already care about, with a finished outcome at the end of it.

Participant work

What progress actually looks like

Two pieces of participant work, each photographed at more than one stage. Progress is rarely a single finished thing - it is the same problem returned to until it comes out right.

Learning perspective

One drawing, three stages. Vanishing points and a horizon line first, then pencil, then ink. The construction lines are still visible in the finished piece if you look for them.

Building a guitar pedal

A circuit designed on screen, sent away to be manufactured, then populated and soldered by hand. Four months and five iterations, across weekly sessions and a great deal of time in between. - HF
